1999 Solectria Force In 1998 a team at MIT took about 300 Geo Metro's and converted them to electric. This is one of THOSE cars. Freeway friendly with a top speed of over 65 mph and a range of 40 miles. The current owner has had it for 7 years with no problems. Batteries under a year old with 2000 miles, 144 volt system,, charges on 110 or 220 volts, heated battery boxes, factory air conditioning, and three speed heater.
